Please note, some L1/11's have no dates, and are marked as 'M'. In these cases, the items can be requested and will be checked by an archivist as to their status.
3. L1's (other than 22's and 11's)
These items are restricted indefinitely. They do not have a restriction expiry date and are currently having their access status re-assessed. Requests for access to these files should be made in writing to the following:

4. Damaged Files
In addition to 1, 2 and 3, there are also files which have been damaged by fire. These items are indicated by the word [burnt] at the end of the file's title. Access to these items is restricted for preservation reasons as per section 49 (1) of the Public Records Act 2005. Requests for access to these files should be made to 'Preservation'.
