The Hawera District Court was an office of the District Court of New Zealand, which had a combined civil and criminal jurisdiction. Family Court and Youth Court hearings, civil actions, criminal and traffic offences constituted the business undertaken by the Court. At various times the Court also performed other government functions such as birth, death and marriage registrations.
